I'm no IRC expert but i'll try and have a go at helping... Try entering your username, when it connects try /nick nickname and then /msg nickserv identify password Tried that? Does it work? Otherwise i'm out of ideas.

I could create a reset system where it list's the users who want their pw changing and if i put more effort, maybe a admin side to it where a admin log's in and they can change the pw rather than just listing who wants their pw chaning.
