Some questions/answers related to Stuxnet worm
  • Recently i saw an article on Stuxnet worm that created havoc in many industrial installations using Siemens Simatic PLC emulator.
I found it very very interesting and would like to share here.

    There's the link:- http://www.f-secure.com/weblog/archives/00002040.html

Thanks for that Legend_Xeon, I like reading articles like that. Seems like that worm in particular could have done some serious damage if targeting the right places.

I think we're going to see more worms/viruses like this being released. It makes you wonder how many go without being detected.

I am glad you liked it. :)
Yeah, you are right. It could have done some serious damages if it stealthily remained passive for some time and then attacked at a particular date. But still adapting to a particular industrial environment is quite difficult, since almost everyone's environment are different.

And yeah, we will see more of these stealth rootkits in future.
Rootkits development is going better and better these days.
