Herro ive been working with vps management etc. I was wondering what would i need to look into to know more about pen testing my own vps etc. Since you can make a decent legit amount of money when having a reseller discount and selling vps. I know about xhydra and bruteforcing some mysql injection and some metasploit. Is their something else id be looking for. I also manly use kloxo as a control pannel.

You should speak to Xinapse, he's pretty good with VPS work, since this site is hosted on a VPS.. Personally I don't have much VPS knowledge, although I wouldn't use kloxo as your control panel, try webmin.

Close all unnecessary ports and make sure you have the latest software updates asap and you should be fine, as its not like your running apache and stuff on it

No its not. Knowing how to use metasploit is already one step in front of 96% of the people on HF.

Pretty sure Kloxo has some serious remote root exploits. Your first step would be to get rid of that.
