What method can/should i use?

    I have found a vBulletin® Version 3.8.2 forum and since its an old version im sure it can be hacked.
    Any Comments on which method to use to hack it? Im not sure which method to use.

    Search for an exploit on google.

    Not very hard. Just save it to a pl file(Since its perl), open terminal, cd to the directory of the exploit, and run it like 
    perl ./exploit.pl


    For example:
    cd /home/chronic/desktop


    perl ./exploit.pl


    The exploit should give you instructions from the command line.

    Search it up on google. Its an attack that can take down a server so others can't visit it.

    Im not gonna start a new thread on this question so:
    Ive found a SMF 1.11 Forum board and searched for exploits.
    I found this

    Which is remote administrator password change
    So i go to the page on the smf board where your supposed to go
    It asks
    Choose password:
    For best security, you should use six or more characters with a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.
    Verify password:

    Well i enter in a new password (am i right?)
    and it says User does not exist. Am i doing this right!
