SO I was accepted into an awesome summer school but my parents are to cheap to even help me, so if I cant go I am going to dedicate my summer to learning how to "hack"
Well i live in the southern hemisphere (You know that awesome place where awesome people live.), so its winter and i am gonna dedicate it to my linux/gnu distro
- Learn a programming language, - Save up and get a new set of cdj turntables - and hope I get a new job lol
Im thinking of getting some cdjs there expensive though , you dj 2?
Yeah they are quite expensive lol, want some pioneers but haven't robbed a bank recently, I used to use a mp3 usb controller with VDJ software but sold that and saving up for the cdj's. Looking at the Gemini cdj600's or if I can get hold of some either the pio cdj400's or 800mk2's depending on how cheap I can find a pair. For a few parties here n there and bedroom mixing not sure if I can justify spending like a 1k on decks lol
What you think of those usb controllers i was thinking of getting the ion icue are they any good?
Personally I haven't any experience with the ion icue and don't know anyone who has it, however if your wanting a cheap[ish] one check out this. It also comes with Virtual DJ community edition, although if you have a torrent'd copy it'll work with the latest version which [I believe has builtin support for it]. The Numark products are also good, however you pay for what you get, the one I suggested is about £80 and made by Hercules.
Best thing to do is find software your comfortable using and search their forums for a good choice of hardware. The main software competitor's would definitely have to be Native Intruments: Traktor vs Atomix Production's: Virtual DJ
I want to make a good body :P I'm going 3 times every week to the gym with GameOver's brother.
Wish I'd stuck to going down the gym :(, although work doesn't need a small guy with ripped muscles, bigger is better in their eyes. We get some right chunky monkeys trying to kick off.
