While we do not condone hacking websites, there are many tutorials that can help you out, your best bet is to research into  Web Application Security, attacks such as SQL Injection, Cross Site Scripting, Cross Site Request Forgery are good areas to start. Its best to learn these attacks manually, but if you are too lazy, tools such as sqlmap, nikto, nessus may help you.

Its hard to sum up "how to hack a website" but with without any information provided and without knowing your skills its hard to make a good reply. Hope it helps

So you want to hack a forum? You are going to have a hard time finding exploits and exploiting the forum. Since vBulletin costs money you are always checking for new updates to install since it's all something you have payed for. Your best shot would be if the admin haven't patched the software for quite a while. Otherwise you will have to SE the admin.
