Hello, im doing some private work for a friend, someone is spreading lies and roomers about her, she sent me a pic of her in a thong that people were sending around and start talking alot of trash. She hired me to track him down, and this alot more then im actually used to doing (im a network security professional), and i need a list of programs comptible with linux in these categories, command line or GUI not picky. Password dictionary creater tools windows os crashing software or something similar phone tracing software picture reading or backtracing software (main intent is to read the fingerprint and find which phone or computer it was orginally edited or taken from) password crackers (http and https mainly) a list of port scanner besides NMAP or angryip email, and text reading sofware or client and HDD crashers (not entirely needed but might be) If this is banned or offensive in anyway feel free to say no to any or all programs listed above. -Last_Gunsliner
Without sounding like I'm being condescending to the n'th degree I'll continue...
"windows os crashing software", you might be looking for a virus, in which case you'd be much better coding your own. Most of the list can be found with some googling, You want a port scanner, apart from possibly the most widely used one available? Again you could code your own. By "phone tracing software", you mean GPS locating or actually tracing a number/incoming call like in the movies? No one here could give you the latter. GPS locators are easily available online as well as location tracking phone software.
Oh and rules... as far as I'm aware the new thing here is illegalities are banned. Sending viruses, tracking people without their permission, scanning hosts you don't own, crashing hardware... would all fall under that. Depending on which country has the joy of your residence.
I must admit you seem to be taking the rambo approach to the situation, a very macho thing to do, women usually think of much more scheming ways to go about revenge. She not thought of keying his car or something? If she's that bothered, go to the police. She can hardly do that after you've tracked, hacked and packed the poor f#ck3r on his merry way.
well, im just doing what she asked me to do and thank you for the advice and such problem is she doesnt exactly know who to point the finger at, thats what im here for. As for the the phone tracing and scanning hosts i do not own, is to find out where there and maybe get an address or a name or something she can use to go to the police. This is more of a passive approach. The operating system crasher, email and text reading stuff. thats mainly for my own enjoyment to mess with the family or simply just to see if it works lol My main job is to find as much info on the target as possible and let her do the rest FTR she usually comes to me, and i accept because shes pays REALLY DAMN GOOD thank you for the ideas and such -Last_Gunslinger
@Last_Gunslinger, aside from making fun of you, we really don't know what to tell you because it seems like you already know what you want. A little bit o' googlin' never hurt anybody, eh? No one has any magical single-button gooey interface toolz to help you out.
Now, if I were you, I would simply go on craigslist (since you/the girl already has the perpetrator's phone number) and pretend to be a woman in the "Personals/Dating" section whilst using the perp's phone number. Then, use a picture of some random chick off of google, and entice random dudes to send "you" pictures of their dicks. That's probably the best revenge you could take on that guy with the information you have, and without breaking the law.
@Last_Gunslinger If you are just looking for information on the guy, you don't really need that much. As mentioned before, a lot of what you asked about is illegal, which is something I would expect a network security professional to know. If either of you has a phone number there are countless phone number look up sites available. I've not seen one that is free, but if she pays well, I'm sure you can afford the fee.
@Sh3llC0d3 You remind me of me "you could just code it yourself" lol @Last_Gunslinger First off, any Bash shell, comes practically pre-loaded, with an abundance of hacking tools; so your post is kind of irrelevant to begin with. Your talking linux; dude come on, there are tons of free repositories that are loaded with free hacking software. Perhaps if this is beyond you; maybe let someone who knows what they are doing take the job?

i mentioned this a long time ago but no one ever answered. does anyone use the "hack tool" LOKI? possibly the greatest tool for router hijack/maipulation on a level most have never seen (BGP/OSPF/IEGRP etc are covered as far as protocol handling) the only thing i know of for linux that ever came close was Pheonelit's tools (IRPAS and VIPPR)
