Its basically a training course on wireless hacking, you get 2.5 hours of videos and 300 pages on a ebook pdf + a chance to get certified in the exam. The price is 350$, the cert wont get you recognised really in the employer world but it will give you good knowledge.

Just wandering your thoughts on it?

The OSCP qualifications whatever anyone thinks of them, especially PWB are excellent. PWB is very hands on and demonstrates to employers that you can do the job. I'm not too sure about the WiFu course, OS are a good provider of information and with the PWB course being so good i'd say it's probably also good, but to be perfectly honest I wouldn't pay that to sit a course on wireless penetration unless I had extra cash lying about.

If you have the money and you have the time then go for it mate, i'm sure it'd be well worth it.

Have you checked these guys out for their course? http://www.elearnsecurity.com/course/pe ... n_testing/
  • No. Download//Torrent books that you can find all over the Internet and train yourself. It's more effective and it's cheaper :P Thats just what I think though.

I still reckon you can never replace actual taught learning with ebooks. Also you don't get have any tangible proof of what you've learned, useless to employers who want paper proof.

Also doing-it-yourself doesn't give you the kinda lab experience they will give... granted you could set your own up (especially for the wifu course) but still, it's not under certification conditions.
  • Well I say if you have the money, might as well go for it if you think it'll be a good course. Then you can share some knowledge on iE ;)

No, don't waste your money and time. They will just teach you to use Backtrack and it's tools. You can teach yourself all the skills you need for free...

Erm not sure off the top of my head, but they seem to be using a version of backtrack 4 so its not massively old. Let me know if you want a copy.
