Due to the recent postings from Xinapse, I would say it's safe to assume I'm not the only one who feels this might be a good idea.

I understand you guys have already made it clear to ignore the recent unread posts, but, this could be applied to other scenarios (i.e. spam, obviously stupid posts, etc.).

In the top right corner of the forum display (at least for me), I currently have 991 unread posts. I do not know about others, but for me, I highly doubt I will be able to listen to all ~1000 podcasts in the near future. I'm not saying there isn't quality material in these, I'm just saying, I know where to find these posts if I want to see them again, I just want the ability to unclutter my unread posts feed.

This doesn't necessarily apply to just Xinapse's recent posts, because sometimes I see posts that I have seen elsewhere and I do not feel the need to read some of the same material twice (sql injection tutorials, anyone?).

Would it be possible to give us an option to mark certain/all posts as "read?"
