    Both sides are interesting....
More profesional sites are rare to find, black hat is everywhere.....
I think you're chances are better with white hat, as its rare... but black hat will attract alot more people. usually script kiddies but more people regardless and you'll have a much more active site...

Hak5 is the only site I know of that white/gray hat that has an active community...
I would avoid making this site another hackforums/org site as its blatantly illegal and will cause problems....

can we just end these useless labels!

you either do this shit for the better of the world and for learning, or you simply like to destroy whatever you come into contact with. i have always seen this as a black and white issue (pardon pun)

I'm not interested in the white-hat/black-hat debate. I'm more interested in getting real hackers onboard. Too many forums have people trying to exploit systems, and not even understand basic computer science. Try create a more knowledgeable user-base and be blunt with posters who are only interested in defacing websites, rather than actual learning.

If someone is learning to hack, they should be in the wrong place. It has always been hack to learn from the very beginning.

Thats a fair point, it was more of a question to help me create the rules according to what people want here on the forum.

I'd rather take this stand point, Seeing as overly "black hat" sites are unappealing to me. I do however enjoy the professional side of the business but at times I like the "black hat" side of things. "Grey Hat" is a much better choice for this community to progress.

i have been always a blackhat
  • I say get more "educational" stuff up. Not gonna' lie - but many of the articles in Phrack were great and everyone could really learn alot. So more challenges, more "formal/technical" stuff.

    Just my 2 cents. :---)

I'd prefer to see White hat content than Black Hat, frankly.
