Hi guys, I have been making this thread with lots of pain in my mind and heart, Well i am from India, I Need detailed Information about the IT companies located in european countries ,I mean I am looking for country-wise Information.
I had some questions in my mind
1)Does the European IT companies recruitment standards are higher than Indian IT company recruitment standards?I dont know about the eligibility criteria and qualification requirements about the European IT companies,So i tought it is the best place to ask here,Because i believe lots of iexploit members are from europe.
2)Can a B.tech IT fresher from a country like India can get a job there?
3)And where can i find the country wise information about the IT companies located in europe and their recruitment details?And And i too can google and answer this question myself,but i don't no which one is the best,That will be known only by you guys..
4)According to you name some countries which suits the IT freshers from india,Because we ppl know only english and i heard language will be a problem in some european countries,I dont know how far it is true :)
And the main reason i am posting this thread is,some of friends have good qualification and skills,but some of them are struggling to find a job in a good company and some of them are getting a very low salary i.e 200-300$ per month (i.e 8-13 Indian rupees per month),which makes me sad,So i tought This is one of the best place to ask my questions and hope i will get some useful information from my european iexploit friends :)
with the economy the way it is, i really wouldn't even bother with this until it settles down. hell, here in America we are going into the shitter financially, but now it has even reached global proportions! (look at the downgrades of Greece/etc)
I don't even need to echo McKittrick in this, to get a decent job/salary you a) need x amount of experience or b) a level of substantial education (whether it be academic schooling or vendor cert's etc). Option c) is down to luck, right place right time, knowing the right people or just sticking at it (this can be a very costly choice if you're out of work for a while waiting). If you're in education at the moment, if I was you i'd stay there. Get as much as you can while you can for free as certifications & courses soon mount up and it may be hard to fund with no job or a meanial data input job. Everyone is struggling at the moment (it doesn't help me saying that and I'm sure it's not the first or the last time you'll hear it) but it's how it is, jobs are scarce and money is tight.
From what you've said england sounds like a fair bet, however I've known of indians moving to other EU countries greece being one (not advisable in the current climate). I can't comment on the validity of your qualifications as i'm not indian or familiar with indian qualifications, however i'm sure there is a transferability of skills. An relevant degree, CISSP, CCNA, CEH, CREST, all make you a valuable commodity when it comes to applying for jobs, especially related to INFOSEC roles.
The only advice I can suggest is that you may find more info googling for specific jobs in a specific country for instance UK/england (if we can't understand the scottish/irish/welsh you won't lol). You may find one stumbling block... if you look for security related jobs which are advertised by a government agency/department, you will almost certainly not be able to apply. The reason being that certain agencies have a strict nationality policy, british from birth in the case of England.
something i will throw in since it never gets mentioned:
if you have all the skills and certs he mentions above, that's great. you will also be in line with a thousand others with the same background BUT you can have a 1 up on the competition if you are well versed in multiple languages (to help with overseas clients/travel/etc)
i really have no desire to spend the time to learn another language, but i do know employers think highly of it
Also you will need to have very good English to work in IT especially if you want to be a security analyst as your are always writing professional reports and big corps wont like it if you miss spell words.
