These tools are aimed at cracking passwords & brute-forcing (guessing a password using a massive dictionary until you get the right word).
Some tools, such as abel.exe in cain & abel from oxid.it is detected as malware, however that's because it is. It won't harm your pc.
Your best solution is to install a Virtual Environment such as VirtualBox and then create a new Windows VM (virtual machine) and then install your tools onto your VM. That way your tools and anything else possibly infected is away from your host operating system.
