Whats your Preferred Anti Virus

    Just a thread to post your favorite Anti Virus! I use Avast, or is it Avira as Kaspersky used to keep crashing for me but i run kaspersky on my old pc

    i like avira and risingAV ....but i am using threatfire more ...is it count in AVs vendors?
    Avira has high rate of false positive alarms ...but it doesnt take high resources on other hand

    i use a multiav scanner for my pc that i coded in VB
    it has 24 different av's that auto update. =D
    doesnt even slow down mi pc.

    Hello,

    In my opinion Avast! Antivirus is the best, it doesn't hog resources or slow my PC down at all, however it takes ages to complete a full system scan (about 2-3 hours) long.

    This has given me an idea, I may write a blog article on security software.

    Moe cool i coded one of those but you can only use it to scan files rather than block incoming files

    I dont use a antivirus, they all annoy me :-/
    I dont even use a firewall
    The only thing i have for protection is Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware.
    It is very good!

    I strongly recommend you use at least an anti virus, how do they "annoy" you?

    Sometimes they come up with alerts, but you can set them up to be less annoying. I use Avast! Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Ad aware SE personal & Malwarebytes anti malware and I don't get annoying alerts from them.

    The best part is, all the above mentioned are free.

    I use avast as a AV and zonealarm pro as a firewall. works perfect.
