  • i just read art of exploitation a few months ago. one of the most in-depth books ever. but if you are not a coder or know ASM well, the shellcode part of it goes right over your head

    the book i recommend right now is one i just got done reading--security power tools. i would call that a MUST-READ! has a list oand descriptions of well-known sec tools out there

    yes, believe or not, people still wardial and brute-force telephone modems. However the success rate isn't as high as it once was.

    If your serious about being a hacker it's not about learning the newest exploits etc you've gotta know how they're done and understand them. Books like these will help with that.

    Semtex if you have Ninja Hacking in your little library that would be great ! The publisher is Syngress.

    @2good4u A lot of the concepts are still the same, so its still worth a read i think.
