Copied content
  • I found out today that on one of the website's I'm working with, some other random wordpress website is copying all the content and ranking ahead of this site in Google for it's own content!!! Don't you just hate that?

The practical business side of me says I should forget about it... it's probably more cost effective just to rewrite the content. But the other side of me says something different.

Anyone out there have any suggestions or is anyone willing to offer me some help?

Put some sort of Copyright thing such as creative commons and message the admin, its not worth the money to make a case about it but you can at least try get him to remove it. In terms of SEO are you saying google is recognising his as the original content?

Yes, google is recognizing them as the original content, even though I personally know the author. The problem is that my client just started putting up a new website and hadn't received any significant number of links into it, so google saw this copying website as having more authority than ours.
