    We can add an option to rate a post (thumbs up/down)
    So instead of replying with "Thanks" (or any variation) we can just click the 'thumbs up' button ;)

    Just a thought ;)

    You can rate threads 1-5 stars? Or do you mean the actual post, as there is a mod for that where you can rate posts 5 stars although i dont think its that necessary il see what everyone else thinks.

    Yes, I mean the actual post ;) But the reason for this 'thumbs up' system is because several people say that you did a good job or say thanks. So in stead of replying every time with thanks or no problem, you just click the 'thumbs up' button.

    (Sorry if my thread title is pointing you in the wrong direction) :p

    I do think a like/unlike system, similar to facebook would be quite handy, although I don't know how practical to implement.

    I dont think there is a mod out for this and im not sure i could code it myself im only a beginner at PHP but if you find a mybb plugin let me know.

    It makes threads easier to follow (without all the "thank you"'s in between)

    I see some value for it when we get bigger, it shows people appreciation for specific posts, however you can do that through reputation. It would be also an alternative as x3n0n says to small "thanks" type posts on say and shared files etc.

    It might be one of those nice little ideas but probably would never get used, like the 'thanks' button which eventually got removed.

    i like the idea, it's similar to rep, but it still counts for something when a specific thread can be identified. it also looks much faster, +repping is a multi-click 'n type process!! however if you've already tried and removed it, it might not be worth re-implementing. _the button also looks quite ugly as-is._
