Does malwares emits any kind of software user agents?
As the title says i Need to know whether malwares like RAT'S ,key-loggers,shells,trojan horses or what-ever kind of software connecting to
internet emits "user agents" from it's software to identify itself?
is this true?
I tought only browser's can emit user-agents from their respective softwares, but i am not sure about the other software Application being connected to the internet...
I am bit-confused ,So i decided to ask here...
Hope some one may clear my doubt...
it depends on the coder whether or not to give user agent details
Check out MalZilla, it's a useful program for use in exploring malicious pages. It allows you to choose your own user agent and referrer, and has the ability to use proxies. It shows you the full source of web-pages and all the HTTP headers. It gives you various decoders to try and de-obfuscate java-script as well.
Nope usually they just use the default firefox one, otherwise it would be obvious if you were infected
depends on if they code the given program to send http headers
