    Hey guys,

    Sorry about the previous title.. Left my laptop
    unattended for a food break, mate decided he was being hilarious. Anyway, let's move on.

    There's not much to say really. I am 18
    years old and just finished school so I have a lot more free time on my
    hands lately and was actually looking into hacking as I like a challenge
    and am also interested in learning about practically anything to do
    with computers because it is, after all, age of the geek ;)

    I
    have played around with JavaScript and C a touch when I was younger but
    got swamped with school, then the holidays came and I just forgot about
    it really..

    Thanks in advance to anything this community offers
    and I will be noting down everything that helps me from here and once I
    can, I will cross one item off that list at a time by helping out the
    community myself.

    Welcome to iExploit NH1ER! This was a very nice introduction. Don't worry if you feel lost in this realm of knowledge from time to time, that's what the community is for. Everyone here is always willing to help when you need it. 

    Do you have plans to go to college, or anything else now? The world's a big place, and you can go as far as you wish (geographically, intellectually, etc) as long as you're willing to apply yourself. I wanted to go to a full college, once upon a time, but alas...I quickly realized I wasn't going to be able to afford it, and went to a community college instead. Now I live in Japan, and have a job that I love!

    <sarcasm>I didn't dox myself at all just now! :D :P</sarcasm>

    Also, @Xin and myself are the current forum admins, so if you have any issues/things you feel should be addressed as it pertains to the forum always feel free to approach one of us in http://iexploit.org/index.php?p=/categories/feedback

    Thank you for such a warm welcome! And yes, I daresay I will be feeling lost several, several times. Haha.

    Yes and no. I have got a job so that I can live comfortably, and I will be relaxing for the next year or two. After that, though, unless things change I will be going to University and doing something regarding computer security. It's a toss up of that or traveling.

    May I ask what job that would be?

    Welcome to iExploit. M0rph is right everyone in here are willing to help if you need it. We have a lot of great tutorials and such to get you started. As for your previous experience with computer programming I'm actually quite happy that you dropped C. Don't get me wrong here, it's awesome that you want to learn programming and I really encourages you to keep on learning. But seen from my experience with "new" people it's not a good idea to start out with a language like C. It will basically kill you. Instead I would recommend you to start out with Python it's powerful, cross-platform, fairly easy to master, a lot of support and it is widely used in the security world to make tools and such. 

    Anyways let me know if you have any questions regarding getting started otherwise just make a new thread I'm sure that I would see it, and if I feel that I have the knowledge or capabilities to help you, I will.
