So iv been wanting a Raspberry Pi to run the lightweight Linux Debian(Arm) and at £30 i think its a bit of a bargin.
Has anyone else played about with these?? I was thinking of installing Debian to it and using SSH to interact with it. I want to use it almost as a security testing system for me to test my skills on.
Yessss, I have. Last time i played with them one of our lecturers had networked a load of them together to make a ctf style network for us all to attack as a proof of concept. Very cool and capable boards unless you have 3 academic years worth of hackers scanning the shit out of them. Probably obvious but it's always worth considering the choice of software running on them, so for example perhaps using a more lightweight web server than apache if you need a web server etc. But if you have the 30 quid and the time to mess about with them, go for it.
