  • Hello, my name is Josh. I used to be on HaxMe.org, and then my personal life started to get in the way of my time with a computer. Recently I tried to get back on there, only to find that it was no more. So I googled haxme to see if maybe I typed in the url wrong, and the first thing I saw was a link to a topic on these boards about how it got hacked and wiped. I joined here in the hopes that I would be able to learn more about security and exploitation. I have a 3 month old son, I work full time, and I go to DeVry online for my BS in Computer Information Science. Unfortunately, it seems that DeVry is not going to be able to teach me a whole lot. Everything seems very outdated. My current course uses Windows XP and Fedora Core 4. Luckily, the internet has a lot to teach. I don't know much about anything, but I'm willing to learn, and will help with whatever I can.

Welcome to iExploit! It has been a while since i saw such a well written introduction. You clearly know what you want to do. It is fantastic to see persons who actually has thought about what they want to do instead of just asking "how to hax facebook".

You have chosen a very interesting topic to work with. I have worked wih website security for about two years now and i have never regret it. I am now planning on working on to pentesting and networking.

    Congratulations about your son!

Welcome to IExploit eyeless! Like Phage, I am also happy to see a well written introduction. I've never heard of HaxMe, but any infosec knowledge you wish to find you should be able to find here. Unlike a lot of other forums, the focus of this one doesn't revolve around webapp security. We're more of a system exploiting forum, but we dabble in a little of everything all the same!

    Join us on irc sometime!

  • I actually did go in the IRC last night when I joined. I've never used IRC before, but it seems relatively straightforward. Like I said in my first post, I really don't know a lot. I have done a few "hello, world" programs in a few different languages, but I've never fully learned any languages. I think networking and network security would be the area I really want to focus on, but I don't have the attention span to stick with one topic for that long.
