i must say, if this is the next big thing (and seems to be the future), you can count me out.
am i the only one on here who thinks this whole idea of SOMEONE ELSE managing your data is ridiculous!? especially after all the mishaps we have had as of late with site attacks (credit card theft/defacings/etc).
i feel that one should learn what is in front of them and should get a grasp on securing their own data. you then have no one to blame for any loss of information but yourself. i trust myself with my data a hell of alot more than some random business that is recommended to me simply because they have big, powerful servers and elite firewalls. has anyone ever heard of an INSIDE JOB?! lol! it reminds me of the same reason i don't trust or invest in the stupid stock market (i don't know any of you people so why would i trust my life/money/data to you). i seem to be a minority voice in this, however. most people i know have embraced this new concept (alot of it is due to their sheer laziness, might i add)

anyway, that's my take. your thoughts?

I dont like the idea of it, yer sure it is good to manage a few simple files like i use it to store my music so i can access from anywhere but i would never use it to store personal files, its just to risky.

The bad thing is that the media makes it so trendy, that many people with just some superficial knowledge are so enthusiastic about it.
Im working for a medium IT-business as an admin... yesterday my chief suggested in a meeting to put our whole modular server (round about 40 virtual machines) into the cloud :D It was hard for me not to laugh!!

The attraction i guess is how handy it is and its ease of use for casual users. I would never trust important data on it. As the likelyhood is eventually it will get hacked.
