I'm using gnome atm, sucks. I've just found out that ubuntu 10.10 looks like the only distro that supports my acpi driver needed so i'm told. Can't be bothered hunting round for solutions/answers for other distro's atm. I'll try and get gentoo or arch loaded at some point as I want a decent distro. (sorry ubuntu fans).

I apparently can't get awesome to work correctly, I'm either gonna stick with KDE or play around with i3 and/or fluxbox.

Thought you had awesome running on your last install? :S I'd get rid of KDE and go with fluxbox mate, knowing you you'd end up changing anyway :P
