    I've been having numerous issues trying to connect to the site. Your web-host always replies to ping, and I don't have any issues trace-routing to you. Has this been affecting everyone? Or just users like me in far-off corners of the world?

    Yes the site has been very very slow lately, we are not sure why

    Can I point out the site has been legitimately down for maintenance. So if you tried to connect during that time then you that will have been the issue. As for the server being slow we'll be working on it.
