Arch Linux problem

Hey I'm having a bit of problem with Arch Linux. I can't get my wireless to to work :/

I recently wiped my hard drive and installed Arch cleanly on the system because I <3 it. Anyway, I've got internet through wired LAN only but wireless won't work. I've determined the problem. It's not an issue with the driver because I'm using an atheros AR5001 which is supported as ath5k

The problem is because my security uses WPA2 personal(I think)

I've been playing around with wpa_supplicant but no luck so far. Anybody here know the possible problem?

Probably not without more info... I'm guessing that the hardware is actually fully functional and detected with drivers installed. I don't see how it was running fine before and clean installing has messed it up. Surely setting up the same way would be the solution?

Like I said if you could give us errors or screenshots to work with we could maybe help more. Is it detected by your wireless/network manager?

Well the thing is I got a new router and my dad is making it super secure. The SSID is hidden, the router needs your mac address so you can connect to it and the password is WPA2. I've already set up the router to accept my mac address but I'm using wicd to try and connect. I run wicd and try to connect to the network "<hidden>" but I think that's the problem. The SSID is supposed to be NETGEAR-24-G but wicd detects it as "<hidden>" since the router is configured to be hidden.

    Some screenshots:

Is the problem in the authentication?

Finally got it working. I needed my dad to change the router settings so it wasn't hidden. Now it works fine. Topic locked.
