    Yeah I was thinking of sneeking a defcon trip, just a few days for defcon 19... not sure i could afford it tho. Think i'm gonna go to blackhat after i get to Uni

    i always have been at odds with things like DEFCON. the main reason is, yeah, you learn a few things, but these days it has been transormed into nothing more than a bloated geek convention with half-naked models and dopey celebs. the serious side of it is getting more thinned out each year and that bothers me. it's all just glam these days man

    ...Defcon maybe, however BlackHat is more hardcore I would say. Hence the price tag. I'm into lockpicking etc as well so Defcon appeals to me.
