Wiki?
  • I think it'd be a pretty cool idea to have a iExploit community wiki where users can create their own pages, create topics, learn and more. Anybody else think this would be a pretty cool idea?

That's a good idea if the topics would be checked before submitted. (I think)

I was thinking this the other day actually, im up for it if a lot of people are interested in it, the whole point of a wiki is community developed content so if theres only 2 or 3 people doing it its not worth it.

As i said i dont have a lot of experience setting up an ssh system where you rise up the levels like STS so i cant do that.

Were only at the stages that we are at in the dev forum really.

Well if you get the server up I can help a bit.

i think a wiki will be pointless here. i've seen plenty of small communities waste their time adding one by request, only for it to be used a couple of times at launch and then forgotten. i can't see it being any different here, besides you have worked on the front page for papers already, i would say just keep going with that - this forum community works well enough as it is, no need to fragment too much.

edit: too late i guess, oh well good luck! lol.

Yes, but then again a wiki would be good for the community you know? Users can just add papers and contribute.

i suppose if i had to side with you, the articles could be of a higher quality, since they allow users to collaborate (not a single users effort). ie. you can't edit someones bad spellings/grammar here on the forum. but this is also a problem, as i beleive some people would be offended if their forum articles were (re-)posted and raped out of context.
