Choice A: Like Hackforums, you can only ever give +3 or -3 to one person, therefore usually based on your view of them.
Choice B: Like other more professional sites, you can give unlimited rep to people, usually according to good threads, or good shares, so users who post lots of good content will have lots more rep than other users.
I think choice B, rep abusers who are caught won't get away with it. It's a small site at the moment so it'd be definitely noticed for anyone who's on here regularly.
Just out of curiosity how is it going to be decided what's a good post Xin? lol random but random people posting short or useless threads could soon build up rep
Rep is giving out of peoples opinion so if people think a thread is worth rep then they may give it, obviously if people are getting rep for threads not worth it repeatidly we will look into it. Im not saying people are given rep for every good thread though.
I voted for option "B",Because i am tired of the hf skids -ve repping each other and always causing issues to staff,So in my point of view it would be better to go for "B",Also making such an option will also involve lot of staff intervention in the future ,i am sure it will become one of the headache to the staff like hackforum,Also a member deserves a +rep whenever he/she makes an useful contribution to the forum...
