i just noticed a guest can read any thread by replacing showthread.php with printthread.php in the url. this doesn't apply to areas that regular members don't have access to, so it's not really important but.. :P

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, if your patient one of the admin will reply and check into this further. Congrats on the find though :)

Yeah its an error with the plugin, i guess for the most part it works. Il see if i can manually patch

cool. fyi: i think this is either a bug with forum permissions (maybe conflicting) or a plugin that hooks/overrides printthread.php without checking, since the latest mybb doesn't have the problem. once again though, not really a problem; you'd have to be insane to prefer using this method to browse over registering an account.
