Hacker manages to issue a tsunami warning

A HACKER managed to make a tsunami warning look official by hacking into the Twitter account of the Indonesian disaster management adviser.

Andi Arief is a frequent user of Twitter and with the country suffering from earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions and even a real tsunami, you can understand why some people would be following his messages in large numbers.

The hacker got into Arief's Twitter account and posted the phrase "Jakarta tsunami tomorrow" with the idea of creating pandemonium without needing to import any pandas.

The hackers added "What can you do, adviser? You're the mother of all disasters."

Apparently Arief struggled for some hours to get back control of his account and set up another Twitter account to spread important information before things returned to normal.

He managed to splutter back, "You, the one hacking Andi Arief's account, please return it! You are not conducting elegant politics! Coward!"

Arief is apparently scratching his head and wondering how he was hacked. All he can suspect is that someone either guessed his password or cracked it by brute force.

When it says "Hacking", most likely means bruteforcing into accounts or going onto accounts of password's he knows.. Twitter are very tight about their security.
