How to deal with stolen/compromised accounts?

    Hello,

When your account has been compromised or stolen, it is generally quite an easy problem for the administration team to solve, just a case of providing account details, Username, email, IP address & rough time of registration, if you know it. The more information you can give us, the easier and quicker the process will be for us to recover your account.

If your account has been compromised or stolen, the following may happen.

Ban (Temporary or permanent, depends on the situation)
    Limitation of Account
    Password Reset
    Email Confirmation
    PM's From Staff

We encourage you to make a new account. We will match your new account IP to your old account. If a match exists it will make it easier to help you recover your account. Be sure to use a secured email to signup and confirm your new account. We will use your new account email to replace your old account then we will send you a password recovery email. Your new account will be merged into the old account.

The next thing you should do is contact Xinapse by PM or email. Provide as much detail as you can. If the staff discovers your account was compromised it will be banned to prevent damage to the account and scams. The following may be asked as evidence that the account you claim to be yours is yours

    - Location
    - IP address
    - Email
