    I am having some questions regarding hacking windows box and Also some questions on web-exploitation,

    when i posted the question regarding "hacking windows box" under the
    windows security section ,

    i got some replies from staff like "Next time you will have warning. "

    it's acceptable,because i am posting hacking questions inside security section,but i can not able to find a correct section for posting these kind of questions,so decided to ask here

    looking for some advice from a staff memeber..

    hope u wont mind :)

    The correct section in my mind for the questions you asked related to hacking a windows box should be put in the windows security section. Your thread was moved I believe to the windows section by another member of staff. Web exploitation should be a seperate topic and in the web app security section.

    If your question is directly linked to both subjects such as hacking a windows web server use your own judgement on what it covers more of. If you have any doubts I would suggest writing in the thread you were unsure about the placement of the thread etc.

    If you're genuinely unsure a warning probably wouldn't be given (depending on the staff), generally you would get a warning though.

    That's just my input, other staff may think differently so see if any other's reply.

    Sorry for the late reply, like George i'm confused with what your asking. What I meant was if you asked a question using multiple technologies for example windows sec and network sec they should be seperated into different questions or put into the dominant section if they are directly related questions. So Hacking a windows web server could go in either web security or windows security. However if the question you're asking is more related to web technologies then it would go in web security.

    Don't worry about it too much, If you are really worried about where to post a specific thread then just ask a member of staff so there are no problems.
