Where do i start?
I have alot of motivation to learn but so much questions aren't answered where should i start before starting to use exploits etc.
Should i learn php and html? I really don't know and i think just a little direction to go would make it more simpler.
What do you love in IT ? :) web technologie ou programming application ... opensource or close.
Before you **really** start you should read a book that can give you a large vision of what hacking is, Hacking exposed is the one you must read.
the sixth link
hacking is like food if you don't taste how can you say you love this or that.
Thanks alot merci :)
HTML wont help you in hacking, and i would learn C or python or perl
Thanks i always wanted to learn python but i always though it was useless i made a game in it. Guess the number game. And ya im quite sure python would help since w3af is coded in python and could help making it easier to understand.
If i've understood your wanting advice on where to start hacking/programming...
// Beware massive post
If you want a decent career involving programming or software dev etc then learn C or C++ now while your interested. I will say that if you learn a programming language such as C/C++ then the major reason people stop learning is they give up. It is a long road and if you have low concentration etc then go for an easier language such as Python or VB.NET. I won't go into the pro's and con's however most coder's in more advanced languages will give you no end of hassle if you learn vb.net as it's considered not a great language (I personally think it's good, especially if you are new). As Xin said you could always learn Perl or Ruby which are mostly used along with C in exploit coding. Those are the main ones for hacking i'll suggest.
You have 3 broad areas of hacking to learn, Web Application Security, Network Security and System Security. It won't go down well here but like alot of people I learned using Rat's, stealer's and keyloggers I then moved onto Network Penetration, my speciality on my courses has and will be networking, I enjoy it and it's fairly easy to work with. If you have a home network you can hack computers on there safely. On the otherhand if you want to learn Systems security then read tutorials and set up virtual machines with the De-Ice disks, DVL [damn vulnerable linux] or make your own vulnerable windows systems. Using virtual machines [VM's] is a very cheap way of learning. Web App security is one of those areas if you want to learn it you have to get your hands dirty or use a test environment to learn on such as Damn Vulnerable Web App. If you make a schoolboy error whilst hacking someones live site then it could spell trouble, it's not hard to traceback unless you take precautions.
I know it's probably not helpful what i've put but it's just my views and might be helpful. My final advice is, whatever you learn, make sure your interested in it. If your not then you will not be committed to learning. Read random tutorials and see what takes your eye then expand on it.
If you what any ebooks or help let me know and i'll see if I can help, or at least point you in the right direction :)
start from easy to hard.. xD
