Threads Viewable to Public Yes or No?

    Hey i think we should stop public viewing the forum unless they are registered but wanted to check with you guys first , whats your view

    i think it would be good if guests could see the titles of the threads and sections and if they find the forum interesting they will register. if you force them to register to view the forum most of them will close their tab with the site like me :P

    Yeah true but the plugin we had before that did htat doesnt work on this version of mybb so i guess we just have to wait till its out

    I think personally this idea is good, downside would be it'd increase the amount of people only signing up to read specific things then not contributing. Can't see any other downsides to it though.

    I think the general idea of making it a registered users only forum is a good one, just saying that the above is the only downside I can see to the idea.

    You stopped them from viewing the whole forum. This is bad because people can't see what we specialise in and might be forced not to join, can I install a plugin instead to allow them to view forums, but not posts/topics?
