Backtrack 4! [Booting off of a USB]

    Alright, In This tutorial I will show you how to successfully download, install, and boot BackTrack all from your USB drive!

    Alright! Let's get started.


    1. Plug in your USB Drive (Minimum USB Drive capacity 2 GB)

    2. Format the USB drive to FAT32

    3. Download Unetbootin from http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

    4. Start Unetbootin and select diskimage (use the backtrack-final ISO)

    5. Select your USB drive and click “OK” for creating a bootable BackTrack USB drive

    6. Congratulations you have successfully created a boot-able backtrack USB Drive.

    Now, I know many of you are eager to start your wireless hacking but when you first boot up backtrack you will see a screen that looks almost like command prompt type in: "startx" without the quotes. After that it should boot you into your backtrack desktop. If not! And it asks you for a username and password the username is:

    "root" without the quotes

    and the password is:

    "toor" without the quotes.
