Just FYI, Tila Tequila is one of the hottest babes in the world. I don't want to get all crazy fanboy on you guys, but yeah....lol. She even goes so far as to call out Alex Jones on his bullshit. What do you guys think about all of this?

I'm not going to try and coerce you guys into believing her, but I've always felt she has been down to earth, and sincere. I don't feel any different about this video, and I'm glad she's speaking out.

I'm interested in what everyone's reason for getting into hacking initially was and whether that reason has changed.

My initial reason was to attack people that have wronged me but through research about hacking now I would like to be a pen tester. People wronging me is not so important to me as a goal as defacing websites of the corrupt.

Just informing you all i probably won't be as active anymore. I will still pop in every now and then but just got a new job as website manager. And my first task being i have to overhaul the site and set up the new server.

Karma and how it can be earned/lost

Hello everyone, @m0rph here. I'm here to talk to you about Karma on iexploit. These are our current Karma rewarding conditions:

For every time you login to iexploit you will be awarded +1 karma
For every time you create a discussion you will be awarded +1 karma

For every 25 topics you start, you will be awarded +10 karma
For every time you comment on a discussion you will be awarded +1 karma

Karma can also be awarded or taken away by visiting a user's profile, and clicking on the "Karma Bank" button (i.e. http://iexploit.org/index.php?p=/profile/karmabank/1863/m0rph). From this new page, you will see an option to either award Karma, or take it away from a user.

Reason: Very informative user!
Amount: +1 (Karma can also be taken away by using a [-] symbol)
Then you would click the "Reward/Tax" button.

Currently we have no mechanisms in place to prevent giving/taking too much, or preventing a user from giving Karma to themself. So if you feel you were awarded, or disciplined unfairly, feel free to talk to one of the Admins and we'll settle things out. With that said, let the karma-fest begin!

Just letting everyone know i may be a little quite or not online for the next couple of days, im attempting to make a program with a brain.

It analyses the users input, detect the possible emotion and construct a suitable response. Talk about confusing :/ but it is getting there.

Sup guys? After a very long mental block from being able to do anything with security, I have now overcome that obstacle, and I have been actively coding for the last 4 days (sorry, can't say what). Sadly, this has taken a huge toll on my sleep schedule, and I now have hobby-induced insomnia again. But, I am really excited to be back in the game!

In other news, I have recently returned to Japan from Korea. If you've never been, I highly recommend it, you'll have a great time. I was sketchy about it at first, but it was without a doubt the most fun I've had so far this year. I will be knocking out some long-overdue tutorials I've promised in the past, just give me a little bit of time for my initial enthusiasm to wear out. Also, due to recent choices I've made in my personal life, I will no longer be associating future video tutorials with any websites. Gotta start burning the paper trail, ya nah mean?

If anyone wants to chat with me, I can very often be found in #securityoverride on irc. It's not that I don't like you guys or anything, it's just that #iexploit isn't very active anymore. :(

With that said....I could use a smoke.

wasn't quite sure where i should post this. i was looking through my NMAP mailing list replies when i saw that Fyodor is welcoming everyone to DEFCON again for this years big gathering in Vegas. i was just wondering if any of you have ever been to one/are going this year? i personally have no desire to go because i feel that it is nothing more than a big party and the "hacking" part of it is pushed into the background. hell, i have even heard porn stars and celibrities attend (porn stars aren't a bad thing, mind you)! i would just feel so out of place in that kind of "frat party" environment. i would be more into the Blackhat Briefings or SEC-CON, where the whole purpose of being there is to be submerged in the latest security info out there. i guess i just feel DEFCON has become a joke. JMO

Annoying filters at college

So im currently at college where i have loads of free time, i want to be able to check my facebook, twitter etc but the filter has blocked them all. Is there an easy way to get around this or will i have to keep working on my php script that requests the source and displays it???

Hi everyone, I'm glad to see the forum is back. I regret to say, however, that my employer is sending me to South Korea for a few weeks, so I don't know how often I will be able to come online.

-Scored well on my work exam
-Achieved Network+ Certification
-Still on hold with PWB
-Had to break up with my girlfriend
-Got in a car accident :( I loved that car...
