Any use his own proxy or some othere way to be anonimous on the Internet ? In the end it comes down to buying a VPN or Proxy to be the safest possible. What you think about programming some proxy? What is the biggest problem in anonymity ? Are you think that you competent to say: " im anonymous" ? I just ask this because I have not studied this issue deeply.
ProxyChains + Tor

I've decided to whip up a quick guide on Proxychains + Tor. What is ProxyChains? An awesome program that chains together different proxies and uses them on any program you want. This means if you want to have a chain of proxies going through nmap or metasploit or any other program, you can! As for tor, you can read more about it at http://www.torproject.org/about/overview.html.en

Anyways, on with the tutorial. Proxychains is fairly easy and straightforward to use. I prefer it because it can be run through almost any program. This includes SSH :)

To install it, simply type:

sudo aptitude install proxychains

In your terminal. Once this is done, install tor. Follow the tutorial at
http://www.torproject.org/docs/tor-doc-unix.html.en
This is a great tutorial for getting tor and polipo up and running on your system.

Once you've gotten tor, polipo and proxychains, you should be ready to go.
Step 1:
Edit your proxychain.conf file. This is located in /etc/proxychain.conf. Just type

sudo gedit /etc/proxychain.conf

You can replace gedit with any file editor you choose. I prefer nano, but gedit is a good visual text editor.

Step 2:
Edit that bitch. On the top couple lines you'll see this:

# The option below identifies how the ProxyList is treated.
# only one option should be uncommented at time,
# otherwise the last appearing option will be accepted
#
#dynamic_chain
#
# Dynamic - Each connection will be done via chained proxies
# all proxies chained in the order as they appear in the list
# at least one proxy must be online to play in chain
# (dead proxies are skipped)
# otherwise EINTR is returned to the app
#
strict_chain
#
# Strict - Each connection will be done via chained proxies
# all proxies chained in the order as they appear in the list
# all proxies must be online to play in chain
# otherwise EINTR is returned to the app
#
#random_chain
#
# Random - Each connection will be done via random proxy
# (or proxy chain, see chain_len) from the list.
# this option is good to test your IDS :)

I'd recommend deleting the # in front of strict_chain, because it always works best for me. Or you can use random_chain or dynamic_chain. Their definitions are below them.

Step3:
Get proxies. Just go on google and search for some. ProxyChains accepts http, socks4 and socks5 proxies.
KEEP the line that says:

socks4 127.0.0.1 9050

That's so it can connect to tor. Under that, just place your proxies. This is what mine looks like:

socks4 127.0.0.1 9050
socks5 72.218.43.131 5033
socks4 178.239.57.16 1080
socks4 117.79.94.160 1080

You can add more if you'd like. Just save and exit the editor when your done.

Step 4:
Run proxychains. This is easy. Just type this into your terminal:

proxychains <program>

For example, if I want to run proxychains through nmap:

proxychains nmap -sS google.com

Or metasploit:

proxychains msfconsole

If you want to run proxychains on SSH or something similar, you may need greater privileges. Just add sudo in front of the command and you should be able to connect to SSH through proxychains.

--Chroniccommand

As I am sure many of you know, the Tor onion router is an amazing tool for anonymity. Sure it has it's caveats and cannot provide unbreakable protection but lets face it, nothing really can.

https://www.torproject.org/about/overview.html.en

If you are new to Tor then I highly recommend downloading the Tor browser bundle for your OS. All you need to do is extract the files from the archive and run "start-tor-browser:
% tar xvzf tor-browser-gnu-linux-i686-1.1.9-dev-en-US.tar.gz
% cd tor-browser_en-US
% ./start-tor-browser

or in windows, extract tor-browser_en-US and run the "Start Tor Browser" application. Go ahead and read any and all documentation you can find on the site. When it comes to hacking, knowledge is your friend.

Now that any beginners are caught up we can get to the more entertaining bit. We all know that Tor can be used to access the surface web by bouncing the connection through several relays to a Tor exit node. The only IP that is seen by the target site is that of the exit node. Tor has another functionality that is not as well known, that is Tor hidden services.

A Tor hidden service can be identified by a 16 char address with a .onion pseudo domain such as kpvz7ki2v5agwt35.onion As you will notice if you tried to put this address in your web browser, it is outside of the DNS root(you have to use Tor or tor2web although I recommend the first option for security reasons). Now when you start up your Tor browser and put in an .onion site you will be presented with a hidden website.(Please note that it may take several reloads to get the connection to go through as you are dealing with bandwidth issues inherent to the Tor network).

Assuming you entered the above given .onion site into your tor browser you should have been presented with the Hidden wiki. (now be careful because absolutely ANYONE can post here, be it the good or bad)
Always keep in mind that your tor identity should never be linked to any email or web service that you contact during normal browsing.

From here you can start mining the darknet for new urls. Happy data mining =)

A VPN keeps your wireless communications safe by creating a secure "tunnel," though which your encrypted data travels. These tunnels cannot be entered by data that is not properly encrypted. Not only is data encrypted when you use a VPN, but the originating and receiving network addresses are also encrypted. This adds an extra layer of security.

What is a proxy?
Proxy sites enable you to bypass your own Internet provider and browse through the proxy web site. All that you have to do is type the web site address you would like to visit in the form they provide, and start browsing. Once you keep browsing using that form, you are protected and your real IP address is not being logged.

VPN downloads!

1) UltraVPN
UltraVPN is a free VPN that hides your connection from unwanted ears and allows you to use blocked application.
